By Nicholas McWhirter When "The House Of Wigs" was a weblog, I came across it late in my career as an undergraduate 22-year-old in his fifth year of a four year program. I found it to be the most sardonic thing I'd ever read (which I mean here as a compliment of the highest order). Joshua Allen was wading, or perhaps rather, drowning in deep waters that resonated with me in profound ways.Yesterday, when my beloved source for all things interesting, Coudal Partners, who I believe were responsible for my discovering THOW in the first place, alerted me to the release of this Kindle book compilation of all the blog posts from way-back-then, I got very excited.It's important to note how I initially approached the excerpt with a "well, this was seriously funny to me as a kid back in college, but how will it hold up to me as a mid-30's person?" Rest assured, it still elicits the same uncomfortable, unsettling reaction that it did back in the good old days. In fact, it is more relatable now than it ever was before. And it's very funny. Highly recommended.
0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Hilarious By Kindle Customer I had to read this in little chunks because I would get the giggles so bad I couldn't go on. Anyone who has worked in cube hell and had their creativity crushed and spirit sucked out should read it.

I cannot buy this version since I don't have a Kindle, but I read it online where it used to exist while I was working in my own circle of cubicle hell during my early twenties. It comforted me marvelous much and I've lifted my share of excellent phrases from this collection to use in my own everyday conversations so people think I'm funny.Since finding House of Wigs 13 years ago I've followed Josh all around the webs like a stalker, reading everything he's written that's out there for me to find. (Note to Josh: time for a K4T comeback.) It never gets old and it's never not funny, though sometimes the observations hit you like a gut punch because they feel too true.I've re-read everything he's written at least three times at this point. If I had a Kindle I'd buy this, but since I don't the best thing I can do is recommend it to everyone. BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT BUY IT.
