Review “The book is a beautiful item. Parkin and his publisher have gone all out and found many special items. There are numerous unique and stunning artworks in the pages along with some familiar photos. We loved the frame by Paul Hanley with the Tenth Doctor and all his monsters. It is a perfect coffee table item for any sci-fi household. It is lovely gift for any Whoivian.” ―David Tennant News, www.david-tennant-news.com“Doctor Who fans will enjoy this compendium by expert Parkin. VERDICT: This critical atlas is ideal for aficionados of this popular, long-running series.”―Library Journal"No personal or community library "Doctor Who" collection would be complete without a copy of Lance Parkin's Whoniverse!" ―The Midwest Book Review“Whoniverse can be best described as a hitchhiker’s guide to the universe of Dr. Who. It contains very detailed information of all of the interesting places and times that have been visited by the Doctor. You get whimsical trivia from these episodes and more photos than I’ve ever seen in a Dr. Who book. All of his enemies are here and those exotic places and times that made the show what it remains today. Yes, it takes you right up to the current Doctor, Peter Capaldi. The book includes wonderful timelines that put these various visits and encounters into a more linear condition for our easy reading. The full-color photos are absolutely amazing. Many are rare, and they serve up a pictorial history of The Doctor as well as you’ll ever find. All of his enemies are here and those exotic places and times that made the show what it remains today. A few contains the scope of the 50 year plus television program but none (to my knowledge) includes the wondrous history of Doctor Who (and spin off) books, comics, and radio plays. Being a big fan of Doctor Who during it's "wilderness years" Whoniverse is a fun and nostalgic trip down memory road. It's a must own for any fan who grew up with the New Adventures of Doctor Who and the BBC Eighth Doctor run or any new fan who is looking to learn more about it's expanded universe....and for the new comers, don't worry it has plenty of fabulous New Who info. From cover to cover this great coffee table book is packed with facts, photos, and amazing art. Lance Parkin's Whoniverse is a fantastic comprehensive guide to the worlds of Doctor Who and must for any library.
