The exercises within are a "must try" By Michael Volpi This is a nice little book that tells you how to simply maintain a more calm and positive attitude to your life. I thought the chapter on “monitoring your moods, fantasies, and inner self-talk” was very useful with some nice self-exercises to try out. So, overall, it doesn't overwhelm you with unnecessary information and it gets right to the point and each of the chapters will give you some exercises to do as well – a nice easy to read and apply book packed full of ideas to help create a stress free day, week and life.

I've been pretty stressed aren't do to many personal things in my life. I've always managed it well, but everyone needs help at times. That is why I purchased this book. It is full of great advice on how to free your mind and live a much less stressful life. I enjoyed this book and can feel the stress lifting off my shoulders already.

Great guide to presentations and public speaking By TFLReader I have gone through phases in my career where public speaking was difficult for me and other times where it was simply something that I just did. However, it was never something that I was entirely comfortable with and I have been trying to work on that. Author Colin C. Young has written one of the best guides to public speaking that I have read with his "Why Your Presentation Sucks". Young takes a good look at stage fright and gives some wonderfully useful ideas on reducing anxiety. I also loved the structure ideas for presentations that are designed to make the audience more engaged. A must read if public speaking is in your present or your future.

As someone who has felt stage fright during a public speaking event in the past, I really appreciated that chapter. I'd recommend this book to anyone who had to or desired to become a good public speaker. Young hits it out of the park with this handy little guide.

It's would be easy for high school students to understand and help them through a class presentation. The book is a secondary source of information on presentation skills. It goes over basic concepts and a couple ideas on how to handle speaking in public. The concepts can be extrapolated and applied to more intensive presentations on a case by case basis. Skilled public speakers may find a useful borrowed quote from this book.The writing in simple, so I can only assume it's meant for a younger or inexperienced audience. Peppered through the first half of the book is a phrase similar to, "this book with teach you .........". I would like to discover something not be told that I'm going to find something.Overall this book could help an individual new to group communication.This review is provided as a courtesy for having a copy provided for free by the author.

This is a very important part of our musical history. I, myself have not been a 'hip hop' fan.But after seeing STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON I became intrigued. When I came across this book it raised my awareness of a whole world that I knew very little about. This man is the Berry Gordy of the rap music world. Should be studied by anyone involved in or connected to young people who want to be rappers. Should be read by high school and junior high young people. Should be read by mommas and daddies. It's not sugar coated and there is some nasty stuff in this book but life is not easy and it's easier to confront this world in the comfort of one's home or wherever you like to read. And if you want to take on the rap world you'll be ready. 'nuff said.

About 10% of the book is about NWA yet the title referencing NWA makes you think its based more on the beginnings of NWA from someone who was there from day 1. That sounded interesting enough for me to give it a read.At the end of the book he writes that no one except those who are hip-hop enthusiasts even know who he is. Yet, only a hip-hop enthusiast would bother reading this book and the only mentions of NWA are things that are already known and well-documented.

Over the years have heard most of the pre-Ruthless stories and never got tired of hearing them. It's nice he is sharing those same stories with The World and they are now forever memorialized for generations to come. A true page turner for the hip hop enthusiasts.
