10 of 11 people found the following review helpful. The Reminder I Needed! By Sarah Wiley I think a part of me actually believed that some of these myths I had already figured out. I though this would be a good read but I didn't realize how much it would really speak to where I was as a mom. There was a great deal of underlining, starring, and circling for me in this book! None of us is "perfect" and many times we can be hoodwinked before we even realize it. The messages in this book are not just for moms starting out, although I do think I will be using it as a gift for newbies often, but also for the mom who, like me, thought she already new most of the myths of motherhood. We all have that much needed reminder to knock it off when it comes to believing the myths of motherhood. This is that reminder I needed!

It leads you on your journey of motherhood with scriptural references to guide you as well, all the while giving you permission, of sorts, to be yourself and to make mistakes. It "allows" you to mother in your own way without making excuses to anyone. The biblically based references help to influence your mothering by allowing God to guide your footsteps, and directs you to place your Faith, hope, and trust in our Heavenly Father. I absolutely love the "realness" and humor of the authors, and I've come to feel like I know them as friends.

By Nicole I am telling you this book has changed my life, my views on motherhood and my relationship with my daughter. I am so guilty of trying to keep up with the Jones' and to be like this mom and that mom, and I was failing terribly. Then I read this book and realized I am mothering the way I am supposed to, the way God created me. I love this book to no end. I am not going to lie, I did shed some tears as God was talking to me through the pages. This book is inspiring and exactly what I needed as a mom!
