Fantastic source on Hibernate By Hasan Siddiqui If you're looking for a source on Hibernate that dives much deeper than the online tutorials but at the same time can also be used as a reference, look no further than this book. I've probably read about a third of the text (skipping around chapters and looking at the areas I am particularly interested in), and I've learned quite a few new things that I had incorrect assumptions about. The only negative I can think of is that this title is high dollar. If you're just trying to get up and running for a toy project, you can probably skip this purchase and refer to the plethora of online tutorials. However, if you want to get past the tip of the iceberg and build a deep understanding of Hibernate and all of its nuances, this book will serve you extremely well.

I really appreciated the book long tutorial. The author describe the ins and outs of the technology. I particularly appreciated the optimization part.
