By Amazon Customer Having read several of the other prominent books in the field (Case in Point, Crack the Case, ect), I really enjoyed this efficiency approach to case preparation. Okon emphasizes doing drills for each component of the case process (many of which you can do independently!), so that you get the most out of the full mock cases that you do end up doing. He provides specific, actionable items for each topic covered which is a huge value-add over competing books. I also appreciated that the book focuses exclusively on Okon's case prep approach, rather than other cursory topics that other books go into such as why consulting firms do case interviews or how to prepare for behavioral interviews. I think this book is a really innovative take on the process and worth a quick read to supplement any case prep!
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Straightforward, easy-to-read, and motivational By IK I very much appreciated the straightforwardness of this e-book. It concentrates on essential elements and practical methods and exercises to tackle common obstacles. It doesn't fall into the scare and hype tactics of other case preparation books which often try to "upgrade" you into a more costly package or give an overload of complicated information. Nevertheless, Case Weights is written in a motivating and inspirational manner. Moreover, the price is very cheap and the proceeds go to a good organization - well done!
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. To the point and effective! By S2 Excellent book! It takes a unique but simple approach to case prep and is very easy to read. It does not complicate the process and really focuses on what matters, giving the reader a high return on invested time. It also emphasizes individual practice that I think does not get enough attention in other popular case prep books. Lastly, the book goes into details where other books do not and offers very useful practice drills, so I find it a great addition to my existing case prep material. Highly recommended!
